Minister of Agriculture Andi Salla, meeting with the FAO regional director: Commitment to the development of the sector
In the framework of World Food Day and the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, received Raimund Jehle, FAO Representative in Albania and Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia. During the meeting, the long and fruitful partnership between the Ministry and FAO, with which Albania has been cooperating since 1973, was reaffirmed.
The parties confirmed their joint commitment to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and the strengthening of the rural economy in the country.
Minister Salla expressed gratitude for the continued support and expressed confidence in FAO's contribution to the Ministry's restructuring process, in line with the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
This process will serve as the basis for the design of new agricultural policies aimed at realizing the "Agriculture 2030" vision and the sustainable development of Albania by 2030.
The cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and FAO remains an important pillar for the advancement of the sector, contributing to the food security and rural development of our country.
