Support for Albanian entrepreneurship - New digital transformation center for small businesses and startups
The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, with the support of the European Commission, is implementing the "Digital Innovation Unit" (DIU) Project, which aims to create an innovative center for digital transformation in Albania, which will serve as a reference point for technological development in the country and will contribute to strengthening the competitive capacities of Albanian enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
The strategic partners in this project are: European University of Tirana (UET); Municipality of Korça; Piramida Center; Vodafone Albania Foundation; Municipality of Tirana; Outerlynx company and PROTIK Center.
The Digital Innovation Unit will offer a wide range of services, including digitalization services; technological training; and support and access to financing for enterprises, startups, and SMEs.
Within the framework of this project, the Ministry invites all small and medium-sized enterprises to express their interest and contribute to the design of services tailored to specific needs, with the aim of building the most effective and sustainable support possible.
On the other hand, this project is an important step as it contributes to increasing digital and innovative capacities; improving access to financing and markets; strengthening the role of entrepreneurship in national economic development; creating testing and demonstration spaces for new technologies, it also affects the strengthening of local innovation, as well as improving access to international markets.
Through this initiative, the aim is to build a sustainable innovation ecosystem, creating a more supportive environment for the development of Albanian enterprises in the digital age.
