Agricultural machinery without VAT - E-Albania informs on the steps that agribusinesses must follow!
The government portal e-Albania announced today on social networks that agribusiness is exempt from VAT for the import of machinery and equipment in order to implement their investment contracts, regardless of the value of the investment.
According to the announcement, to benefit from VAT exemption on the import of machinery and equipment, agro-processing entities must apply through e-Albania.
Based on the published information, it should initially be applied in the selection of the service "Machinery and equipment in function of the implementation of investment contracts in the agribusiness sector, regardless of the value of the investment".
Then, the form must be completed and the required documents, such as a copy of the investment plan and estimate, must be uploaded, and then, if the application meets the conditions, authorization can be entered into the system.
The authorization “Machinery and equipment for the purpose of implementing investment contracts in the agribusiness sector, regardless of the value of the investment” is an authorization granted to an economic operator operating in the agribusiness sector. Through this authorization, the operator benefits from the exemption from VAT payment at the time of import. The machinery and equipment that benefit from this exemption are listed in the Annex to the legal basis below.
E-Albania published the link where to apply, announcing that the time to receive the service is 15 days and the document arrives electronically in the "My Documents" section and by email.
