Direct line Tirana - New York/ Rama: The process has begun!
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today during his daily column "Sy m'Sy" that work on the implementation of the direct travel line from Tirana airport to New York has already begun.
Rama emphasized that he never promised that there would be such a line within 2025, but underlined that "the working process with the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of America and Tirana Airport has already begun, but it is a process that takes time."
"I did not promise that we will do it within 2025. I promised that we will start the process and we have started the process, but whether the first plane will land within 2025 remains to be seen. I hope by the end of the year, but it is something that we will see in the process ," he stated.
