Where are the 5 million euros going in agriculture? - Investment scheme,

The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development has begun distributing the 5 million euro investment scheme fund to farmers who have applied and been selected, after meeting the required criteria.

While the application process for the National Agricultural Investment Scheme 2024 ended on November 8, 2024, for some applications, AZHBR is still in the process of administrative control, where the deadline for submitting documents has been extended to February 28, 2025.

Referring to official data from AZHBR, the National Agricultural Investment Scheme 2024 has registered a total of 404 applications. Of these, 360 applications have met the selection criteria. Meanwhile, in the first list of selected applications, some of which are in the disbursement phase and some awaiting the conclusion of the contract, there are 163 of them.

But which are the regions that will benefit the most from this scheme? From the data analysis, it results that the region that has had the highest interest and benefits the most from this fund is Korça, followed by Fier, Vlora and Tirana. While the regions that benefit the least support, due to low interest in applications but also problems with completing documents, are Kukës, Gjirokastra and Lezha.

The highest interest was for investments in farm mechanization with 305 applications and for the construction of livestock stables and poultry facilities with 49 applications. Meanwhile, the number of applications for measures related to solar greenhouses and aquaculture was more limited.

The Fund for the National Agricultural Investment Scheme 2024, made available from the Albanian Government budget, is 1.5 billion lek, with a two-year extension, which will be disbursed in the form of grants up to 50% of the value of the investment tax invoices.

This financing covers key areas of investment, such as the construction of solar greenhouses, the installation of anti-hail nets, the construction of livestock stables and poultry breeding facilities, the purchase of agricultural machinery, and investments in marine aquaculture.
