Prime Minister Rama in Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Week 2026

Prime Minister Edi Rama is in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 (ADSW), which began on January 11th to January 15th in Abu Dhabi. This international forum brings together heads of state and government, business and civil society leaders, to discuss the challenges and prospects of sustainable development at a global level.
Under the theme "The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go", ADSW 2026 aims to combine ambition with concrete action, creating bridges between innovation, finance and human capital, as key factors for building a sustainable future.
Prime Minister Rama participated in the award ceremony of the "Zayed Sustainability Prize", a global initiative of the United Arab Emirates that recognizes and rewards projects and organizations that have worked to improve education and schooling, provide drinking water, and support food for communities in need, recognizing their impactful, innovative, and inspiring sustainable solutions and amplifying their transformative impact.
The Prime Minister will also address the "Youth for Sustainability" summit, a global Masdar initiative that empowers the next generation of sustainability leaders, organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
As part of the ADSW 2026 agenda, Prime Minister Rama will also participate in the Dialogue Panel of State Leaders on the topic "Energy Corridors for a Sustainable Future".
Also, during his stay in the United Arab Emirates, the Prime Minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior Emirati political figures, as well as with other leaders and participants of this international forum.
