0% interest loan for home purchase/ Gonxha: 1,000 applications so far, deadline is April 10
Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja announced today that over 1,000 applications have been made so far, since the opening of the call on March 11, 2025, for 0% interest loans for the purchase of a home by Public Administration employees.

The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation opened the call on March 11 for applications for 0% interest loans for the purchase of a home for 530 public administration employees.
The program includes 12 institutions. MEKI also published the criteria that employees must meet.
They must be employed in the public administration. Not have a home owned or in the process of legalization, or have a home below housing standards. Not own real estate or movable property over half the value of the home to be purchased with a soft loan and not be beneficiaries of other social housing programs.
The Ministries of Interior, Education and Sports will each have 90 quotas. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection will have 80 quotas.
The Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Defense, Economy, Culture and Innovation, Infrastructure and Energy, Justice, Europe and Foreign Affairs, Finance, Tourism and Environment, and the Prime Minister's Office each have 30 quotas.
This is the second year that the government has supported administration employees with zero-interest housing loans.
