CEC: 191,912 envelopes with ballots have arrived from abroad by 7:00 PM!
The Central Election Commission announced that as of 7:00 PM today, 191,912 envelopes with ballots have arrived from voters from abroad.
According to the CEC, a total of 245,935 envelopes were sent, of which 227,097 envelopes with ballots were received by voters. 18,326 envelopes with ballots were not withdrawn by voters who were registered on the Electronic Voting Platform to participate in the parliamentary elections. According to the CEC, 2,502 envelopes are in the special box.
The highest number of returned envelopes with ballots is held by Italy with 72,800, followed by Greece with 52,942, then Germany with 20,318.
According to the regions, Tirana leads with 41,748 envelopes, Fier 25,949, Durrës 19,699.
Today, on May 11, 2025, Albanian citizens voted to elect their representatives to the Parliament of Albania, in a process that is expected to determine the country's political direction for the next four years.
For the first time, Albanian citizens living abroad also voted in these parliamentary elections. The process of voting abroad began about a month ago.
Any vote that arrives in Albania today after 7:00 PM will be considered invalid.
The designated place for the administration of this process is the "Feti Borova" Sports Palace, near the Tirana Olympic Park.
