Warsaw Security Forum, Vengu: Military Industry Cooperation with Poland
Poland has managed to turn the strengthening of the army into a pillar of economic development, and this is a valuable lesson for Albania as well. This message was conveyed from Warsaw, where he is participating in the Security Forum, by our Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu. According to him, this Forum “enables us to use the combined experience of NATO countries, the EU and military industry actors as a strong foundation for the modernization of the defense sector”. In a message distributed on social networks, Vengu states:
"We are in Warsaw today, where after bilateral consultations with our Polish counterpart we had the opportunity to set the milestones of cooperation in the field of military industry and strengthening of human capital between our two armed forces. Poland is an exemplary country for the way it has intertwined membership in the European Union with strengthening the army, turning it into a pillar of economic development. We also intend to adopt these valuable lessons, in order to increase the capacities of the Armed Forces of Albania."
We are currently in the premises of the Warsaw Security Forum, one of the most important formats in Europe in terms of cooperation between NATO countries, the European Union and the military industry. This year, the special focus of the forum is cyber defense, an area where Albania has had significant growth and achievements recognized even in today's panels. In recent days alone, our country has been ranked among the top 15 countries for cyber defense capabilities, whether in civilian or military terms.
We will try to replicate this format soon in our country, thanks to cooperation with Polish, German and American allies, so that all of Albania's efforts in the field of defense, military industry and cyber defense occupy a special place in our policy of military cooperation with allied countries, especially with Southeast Europe."
