Financing the election campaign for participating entities. Additional fund of 150 million lek is approved!
The Council of Ministers approved today an additional fund in the "support for political parties" program, for financing the election campaign of the entities participating in the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
According to the announcement in support of Article 100 of the Constitution, it was decided that for the financing of the election campaign for the Assembly of Albania on May 11, 2025, a fund of 150,000,000 (one hundred and fifty million) lek is added to the "Support for Political Parties" program, which is distributed to electoral entities participating in these elections by the Central Election Commission.
The financial effect, foreseen under point 1 of this decision, is covered by the reserve fund of the Council of Ministers, for unforeseen cases of general government units, approved for 2025.
The Ministry of Finance and the Central Election Commission are charged with the implementation of this decision, which enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
