Fine forgiveness for tourism businesses - Hajdari: Subjects with 2-3 penalties are exempted

Inspection authorities in the tourism sector announced a new measure aimed at forgiving fines for entities that have been fined for the first time.
This initiative comes as part of a reform to ease the burden on tourism businesses and create a fairer and clearer inspection system. Only those entities that have been fined more than once are exempt from the amnesty, ensuring that the measure only affects first-time violations.
Shkëlqim Hajdari Chief Inspector General of the Central Inspectorate:
"From May 13th until today, whoever has received inspections and fines from inspectors, contrary to the instructions given by me, are illegal fines for inspections. They will be reviewed if they are for the first time. If after May 13th, when the new law on inspections came into effect, and the inspection is the first time."
In addition to forgiving fines, the authorities are creating a special tourism inspectorate, which will have broad powers and will oversee compliance with the law, but also environmental management and coordination with state authorities.
"We will create an inspectorate just for tourism. In Albania, the law provides for an inspectorate for tourism, but with a completely new approach. Not tourism inspectorates to be a burden on tourism when bars, restaurants, hotels, guesthouses are at the forefront of tourism, but an inspectorate that will be a gendarme, a guardian of state authorities when they issue permits, manage the environment, must manage waste and so on."
