Pensioners receive end-of-year bonus - Distribution begins, large influx at several post offices. Over 762 thousand people benefit

The distribution of the year-end bonus for pensioners has begun. The reward will be given in two installments, just like in 2024, where those with a pension of up to 20,000 new lek per month will receive 15,000 lek, while seniors with a monthly pension of over 20,000 lek will receive a lower bonus, only 10,000 lek.
But how satisfied are pensioners?
There was a shortage of money at some post offices, due to the large influx and the closure of banks for the holiday.
Other categories that benefit from the 15,000 lek bonus are people who receive disability, family, social pensions, special financial treatments (miners, military industry, veterans), early pensions for seniority, difficult professions up to 20,000 lek.
While the bonus of 10,000 lek is benefiting 221,780 people.
Starting in January 2026, beyond the annual indexation that is regularly implemented, there will also be a monthly increase in pensions.
The year-end bonus can be withdrawn throughout the month of December, while for those who are unable to do so during this period, the deadline for withdrawal is until June 30, 2026.
During this year, a spring bonus was also given for the first time, at the level of 10 thousand lek for pensions up to 20 thousand lek and 5 thousand lek for pensions over 20 thousand lek.
By the end of 2029, the full urban pension will reach 40 thousand lek, the partial urban pension will average 22 thousand lek, the rural and family pension 18 thousand lek, while the disability pension will increase to 30 thousand lek from the current 20 thousand lek.
