Over 1 million passengers in October alone - Tirana International Airport continues its upward trend

Tirana International Airport recorded a significant increase in passengers during 2025, reaching a record in October with 1 million 48 thousand 706 passengers. This increase is related to both tourist flow and the expansion of air connections.
According to Tirana International Airport, 6,168 flights were operated during October 2025. With a network of 83 destinations, 27 airlines and connections to 25 countries, TIA is offering more choices to Albanian passengers by strengthening Albania's connections with Europe.
Tirana International Airport is further consolidating its position as one of the most important air hubs in the region, reaffirming the steady growth of air traffic to and from Albania.
According to official data, Italian cities continue to remain on the list of favorites for Albanian travelers, especially Milan, Rome and Bologna. In addition, a large volume of passengers has also been registered towards London and Vienna.
TIA remains the main travel gateway for Albanians and visitors who choose to fly from Tirana.
TIA is also investing in digitization and improving the passenger experience, through electronic gates for faster border controls; advanced security scanners; expanded parking with over 1,900 spaces and a multi-story structure; digital boarding passes, avoiding waiting at counters. These measures have significantly increased efficiency and created an easier and faster experience for passengers.
