Agricultural subsidies for 2025 are open - What are the innovations in the scheme? Oil rules change
The government has approved the new criteria for the National Agricultural Subsidy Scheme for 2025, paving the way for farmers to start applying. The Minister of Agriculture, Anila Denaj, announced that the scheme has several innovations this year.
"The National Scheme consists of financing measures for all farmers and livestock keepers with an innovation for all those who raise calves for fattening. It enables more farmers to join the national scheme. In last year's scheme, we introduced an innovation where the scheme finances 100% of the demand for the united farmers.
While announcing the details of the Scheme, the Minister emphasized that more than 50 thousand farmers will benefit from free oil in agriculture, but controls will be strengthened.
For cattle 10 thousand lek per head and 5 thousand lek for calves not less than 10 heads. For small livestock 1 thousand lek per head. For beekeeping 1 thousand lek per hive. We have increased a funding measure for biological pest control, where 50 percent is reimbursed by the national support scheme. Medicinal plants 30 thousand lek/ha for an area not less than one ha. The oil scheme, for the total fund made available is 50% and benefits more than 50 thousand farmers, it will be the same scheme but we will increase the control measure according to a new risk methodology so that the right person benefits.
The initial fund that will be distributed to farmers is the same as that of 2024, at around 3.2 billion lek.
