What are the businesses that Albania is missing? - Hasalla: Recycling, technology and online agriculture, the future of entrepreneurship

Family businesses like bakeries or markets, but also pharmacies and hairdressers, these are the types of businesses that are mainly found in Tirana, but also in the cities of Albania. But what are the types of businesses that are missing in Albania?
Gertjana Hasalla – Employment Expert:
"I wouldn't say it was 100% lacking, but it needs to be developed more. There has been a huge change in the labor market in Albania, especially in what is called the digital market. There are more and more services offered online, purchases made online, and sales made online. Which means that in Albania there is a need to develop such a digital market and services made online much more. Card payments have increased by Albanians in general and there is an increased percentage over the years, but that doesn't mean it is in the right place compared to other European countries. And the truth is that Albania aims to move towards the EU and the day will come when all our payments will be made online through our cards, or bank accounts compared to cash payments. So the business market itself will have to adapt to this type of online payments or purchases that are already made online. There needs to be a more developed digital market. We need to think about the agricultural economy, there has really been a decline in the agricultural economy in Albania and usually the household economy, but The agricultural economy will grow if we also bring it closer to the digital market. If there is really a connection between the agricultural economy and the company or cooperatives, associations of people who use digital technology to sell their products. Also, tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy in Albania, and there is a need for a greater opening of the digital market. It should be easier for citizens to book tourist packages, let this be done through websites, and access should become increasingly easier, especially for large companies such as Booking, etc. It is important because the future is technology.”
But on the other hand, what should be the business of the future in Albania?
"It must be a business that is connected to both people and technology, so we cannot think that everything can be done offline now when we know that technology and the green economy, the change in our jobs must also be connected to the ecological change that is happening in the world. European countries already have a green economy many times more developed than us. We, on the other hand, are also connected to environmental protection, ecology or recycling. We will see that in the future there will be an increase in companies that deal with recycling in Albania. Companies that will be opened will deal with recycling, thus including recycling that is done at home, in public and in other companies."
According to Hasalla, in the future we will have more and more companies that will focus on recycling, solar panels, and everything related to the green economy.
