New Palm and Citrus Boulevard - Prime Minister inspects works in Vlora. More accessibility for pedestrians
During his visit to Vlora today, Prime Minister Edi Rama also followed the work being done at the construction site of the New Palm and Citrus Boulevard in Vlora, which from an old axis without public spaces, will turn into not only a new thoroughfare for cars, but also into an axis with two pedestrian areas, with bicycle lanes and sports fields, where the value of property will increase significantly and businesses along this segment will receive a new boost.
"It will be a road and a passageway, but also a pedestrian street, since it has been expanded. The logic of this is like that of Vlorë Boulevard, giving more accessibility to pedestrians. This has been a completely degraded area, while it was one of the main entrances to Vlorë. The project aims at 3D rehabilitation. The project also foresees sports fields, which will be at the service of the community and the school," said the head of the works.
The project aims at the integrated economic and tourist development of the area near the historic center and the Clock Tower, ensuring the connection with "Ismail Qemali" Boulevard, where investments have previously been made by the Albanian Development Fund.
Also, there will be recreational areas on the Boulevard, which are conceived based on the idea of creating a garden with several types of greenery.
