Construction of the Jewish Museum in Vlora - Rama: Along with the direct airline, more Israeli tourists will come
The construction of the Jewish Museum in Vlora is expected to be completed within 2 years. Prime Minister Edi Rama was at the construction site of this museum, which is being built on the former Jewish quarter.
"This is a missing stone in the mosaic of Vlora and the Albanian mosaic. The story of the rescue of Jews by Albanians is an extraordinary story, it is an extraordinary historical and cultural heritage for all of us and that speaks volumes about Albanians, regardless of whether they are Muslims or Christians. Meanwhile, it should be borne in mind that with the establishment of the direct airline with Israel, there will be even more Israeli tourists who will come to Albania. They have begun to recognize our history in relation to them and this is a cornerstone on which we will build many positive things for tourism, for the economy, for technology, so I believe that Vlora is lucky and should be proud to have this history", said the Prime Minister.
The construction of this museum is considered very complex. The Jewish Museum will have a unique mosque structure in all of Albania, while one of the challenges remains the launch of the museumization in parallel with the construction.
"The museumization should start in parallel. It is good that we are ready with the museumization so that we do not take the empty, closed building from the company and then sit around and do the museumization. This would be a challenge, the museumization ," Rama emphasized.
In parallel, the Multifunctional Regional Development Center is being built nearby, which will become a hotbed of technology and innovation with plenty of social and cultural activities for young people with digital inclinations.
About 60% of the tower's facade appears to have been completed. According to Prime Minister Rama, the center will also house foreign start-ups, and it will have special legislation, that of a technopark.
