Manufacturing businesses towards innovation and digitization - Project, production costs are reduced, competition is increased
Domestic manufacturing and exporting businesses will be supported to move towards innovative practices and investments, in order to increase productivity and reduce costs. The AMTECH cross-border cooperation project between Albania-Montenegro and Italy aims to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in the development of sustainable products by introducing innovative additive manufacturing technologies even in traditional sectors.
"Projects like this educate Albanian business in the use of additive technologies and cost reduction. But of course there are challenges as these technologies will come with costs for their purchase and staff training. Innovation is the key to success to add value chain of production in the country.
"AMTECH offers support for digitization and innovation. This project is the start of a long journey that the business will take towards digitalization in order to increase quality, productivity and reduce costs".
The AMTECH program, through technical support, training, access to advanced resources, also promotes a sustainable economic model, enabling local production of complex components without the need for long supply chains or imports, and companies can reduce carbon emissions by improving processes of production.
