Revenues from several local taxes in the Municipality of Cërrik have increased during 2024, while non-tax revenues have suffered a significant decline, creating financial fluctuations in this unit.

Specifically, according to official data, building tax revenues have increased by 17%, reaching 22 million lek from 18 million lek a year earlier. Agricultural land tax has also recorded a modest increase of 10%, reaching 13.2 million lek.

In contrast, the infrastructure impact tax has undergone a large reduction of 49%, dropping from 2.9 million lek to just 1.5 million lek.

City cleaning fees have decreased by 14%, while other local taxes have seen a positive increase of 7%, reaching 38 million lek compared to 35.7 million lek in 2023.

Meanwhile, non-tax revenues have suffered a significant decline of 27%, registering at 19.2 million lekë.

Regarding expenses, this municipality results in a significant increase in personnel and operational expenses, but in parallel it has also increased investment expenses, which are recorded at around 136 million lek.

Cerrik is part of the group of municipalities with low income per capita provided by its budget, at around 3,618 or 36 euros. It is also among the municipalities with the lowest total expenditures per capita, at around 15,749 or 158 euros, while in terms of investments, it presents an average level of 4,238 lek per capita or 43 euros.

Referring to the 2023 Census, the municipality of Cërrik has 24,878 residents, a decrease of 9% compared to a decade ago.
