The laying of asphalt layers in lot 7 of the Great Ring Road of Tirana begins. With a length of nearly 2 kilometers, this lot is expected to be ready in a few days, where after the completion of the asphalt layers work will be done on the installation of road signs.

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, together with the director of the Albanian Road Authority, Gentian Gjyli, closely followed the progress of the works at this site.

"This process is relatively fast, it will not take us much time to finish all the asphalt layers, meanwhile we are continuing with other elements such as the installation of anti-noise barriers in this road section", explained the head of ARRSH.

For the realization of the project in this lot there were some complexities, starting with the expropriation process because many of the housing units were without documents, there was also a large presence of transmission lines and the electricity distribution network which were relocated through the intervention of OST and OSHEE.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku emphasized that the pace of works, in lot 7, but also in other lots, is high to guarantee that the Great Ring of Tirana will be accessible to vehicles at the end of this year.

"It is important that all the lots are ready for vehicle access, having completed the part of the signage, the part of the noise barriers and everything else that is necessary. There will undoubtedly be small details left that we will continue to fill in, but all of this part of the big package should be completed by December 31st for this whole ring to be closed, given that we've had a good progress also in the part of the "Palace with Arrows", where the connecting nodes are and it is one of the most important nodes", underlined Balluku.
