Action at gas stations until June 30 - Control plan/ From prices to employee registration

Wholesale and retail fuel sales points throughout Albania will be the subject of a several-month campaign that aims to prevent possible abuses with the sale price of diesel and gasoline in the country.
The General Directorate of Taxation and the General Directorate of Customs have established a joint Task Force for this purpose, which will be on the ground and will exercise controls until June 30, 2026.
Controls will be carried out throughout the country based on risk analysis, focusing more on entities that carry out activities in the retail trade of fuels.
But what exactly will be checked?
During the checks, the compliance of the quantity of fuel supplied and sold will be verified; the origin of the product; the fiscalization of sales; the compliance of displayed prices with fiscal invoices, as well as the registration of employees.
This control aims to formalize the fuel market and guarantee transparency in the implementation of the law and protect citizens from abuses with fuel prices.
This Force Tax was established as a control instrument driven by the increase in fuel prices due to the conflict in the Middle East, which is also considered a moment where numerous abuses can occur by not reflecting real stock market prices and causing high and unfair costs for Albanian citizens.
