Holiday accommodation increases in price by 3-5% - In Dhërmi, an average of 95 euros/night, Ksamil in a slight decrease
On the eve of the summer tourist season, the prices of apartments for daily rent in the most frequented tourist areas, such as Dhërmi, Shëngjin, Himara and Velipojë, have marked a slight increase of 3-5%.
According to data from the Booking platform, during June and early July, prices for one night range from 45 euros in Velipojë, ranked as the cheapest area for accommodation, to 95 euros in Dhërmi, which is currently the area with the highest average price per night in hotels or similar structures.
Meanwhile, even on the Airbnb platform, where apartments are offered for short-term rental, an average price of approximately $90 per night was observed at the beginning of July.
On the other hand, Ksamil appears to have seen a slight decrease in short-term accommodation prices, with the price per night currently hovering in the $55–60 range. This represents a decrease compared to a year ago, when prices were higher for the same period.
In terms of the number of listings on Airbnb, at the beginning of last summer Albania reached 21,500 active listings, marking an increase of 39% compared to the same period in 2023.
Expectations for this year are that this trend will continue, albeit at a more moderate rate of growth, due to the greater influx of foreign and domestic tourists who have arrived in the country during the first months of 2025.
