Those who do not pay taxes will have their cars impounded - Taxes, appeal to businesses: Pay your debts on time!
Taxpayers who do not pay their obligations on time risk having their personal or business vehicles impounded.
The Tax Administration has signed an agreement with the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, based on which it is possible to search for data on taxpayers' vehicles in real time in the tax system.
All taxpayers, in accordance with the legislation in force, must meet the deadline for the payment of all tax obligations, otherwise the Tax Administration will impose security measures on the assets and will implement all collection procedures by force.
Taxes calls on taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations voluntarily and not to alienate their assets to avoid these obligations.
Any entity that enters into asset purchase and sale transactions must ensure that the assets subject to the transaction do not belong to the debtor taxpayers. Taxes emphasize that any act signed in bad faith between the parties with the aim of avoiding obligations to the Tax Administration will bring legal consequences for invalidity.
On the other hand, the Specialized Control Directorate at the Tax Administration has launched an inspection of luxury cars purchased by individuals not registered with the tax authorities. According to the tax notice, from the data made available by the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, it results that 400 vehicles were purchased during 2023-2024 by individuals who have no declared income!
The Tax Administration suggests that individuals declare the income used to purchase these vehicles in order to avoid penalties. According to taxes, all individuals who own luxury vehicles will be included in the verification process through the analysis of: Income declared to the Tax Administration; Their compliance with the value of the assets owned; Supporting documentation of the financial source.
