AIDA support of up to 2.5 million lek for small and medium-sized enterprises!
The Albanian Investment Development Agency opens the call for the support and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), for the year 2025. AIDA administers the fund "For the development of enterprises", according to the provisions of Article 11, of Law No. 43/2022 "On micro, small and medium enterprises", which is financed from the state budget.
This call supports the development of MSMEs aiming at increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, the development of products and services, innovation/renewal of technology, the development of handicrafts as well as supporting women entrepreneurs with the aim of promoting export and strengthening their skills related to services and products for a sustainable market. This call aims to support MSMEs that exercise their activity within the territory of the country.
Project proposals submitted by MSMEs must adhere to the specific criteria and conditions for MSMEs for 2025. Financial support will cover 100% of current expenses up to 2.5 million lek.
The recoverable costs are certification of production/service standards (including relevant consultancy in the preparatory phase); product improvement through labelling, packaging; training of the company's staff to increase capacities in areas such as: management of digital/innovative technologies, procurement networks, marketing services, development and modernization of business infrastructure, new logistics software systems or new equipment, etc., and equipment with relevant certificates from licensed training entities; participation in international fairs with ready-made stands; creation of applications or platforms in function of developing processes related to electronic commerce/e-commerce, new products and/or services, to meet the requirements of the market industry in the country and the region to improve business, logistics systems, etc.; preparation of promotional materials such as: banners, leaflets, catalogues, brochures to improve the image of MSMEs (no more than 20% of the total project cost).
AIDA will support MSMEs with up to 1.5 million lek in funding to cover capital expenditures for the purchase of machinery that affects the increase in production and improvement of product quality, related to competitiveness.
At the same time, a fund of up to 1 million lek will support businesses in purchasing traditional machinery to improve working conditions for the business, or e-commerce applications and/or programs for the development of handicrafts.
The call for project proposals will remain open until February 28, 2025, 2:00 PM. Project proposals submitted by MSMEs must be implemented within the budget year, which means that the proposed activities must be carried out within November 2025.
