Average income in December last year was 198 euros higher than in the same period a year earlier, when it was 814 euros.

According to Monstat data, the average salary without taxes and contributions in December was 1.9 percent higher than in November, marking continuous monthly growth throughout 2024.
"If we take into account that consumer prices in December marked a decrease of 0.1 percent compared to November, it turns out that real wages for the same period marked an increase of two percent," the announcement says.
Monstat announced that last year the average gross salary was 1,080 euros, while the average net income was 876 euros.
The data shows that despite a 3.3 percent increase in consumer prices last year compared to 2023, real wages increased by 7.1 percent over the same period.
