333 million lek for the festival pole, Korça - ADF opens the tender, aiming for tourism development
The Albanian Development Fund has opened the tender for the construction of the buildings and park "Festivals and Creative Industry Pole" in Drenova, Korça. The estimated fund limit is 333 million and 594 thousand lekë.
The project site is located in the Municipality of Korça, near the village of Drenova. It is accessible via the main road connecting Korça with Erseka, with a travel time of approximately 5 minutes from Korça, 4 minutes from Drenova and approximately 3 hours from the capital, Tirana.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the project aims to create a dynamic cultural pole in Drenova, Korça, by transforming the long-abandoned "former fish tanks" into a thriving center for creativity and economic growth.
By repurposing this neglected site, the initiative aims to stimulate development in key sectors such as hospitality, eco-tourism and the arts, while promoting innovation within the creative industries. This project will provide a platform for collaboration between local artisans, entrepreneurs and visitors, fostering partnerships that inspire new ideas, products and services.
Furthermore, the project will provide education and capacity-building opportunities for the local population, equipping them with essential skills for emerging industries.
The cultural park aims to enrich the region both economically and creatively, establishing Drenova as a center for innovation, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.
Meanwhile, according to the document, the focus of the project will be on two areas, the festival area and the Camping area. The festival area will be the main venue for concerts, cultural events and community gatherings. This space aims to promote local talent and increase community engagement.
The campsite will offer essential amenities for travelers, such as picnic spots. Surrounded by nature, this area will provide a relaxing environment and easy access to festival activities, fostering community among visitors.
