AAPSK supports social centers in Kamëz, Vlorë, Elbasan and Shkodra with confiscated materials!

In the framework of cooperation with the State Social Service and in function of the social use of confiscated assets, the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) has continued the distribution of material assistance to social care institutions in the country.
Four centers – “Kamëz Violence Center”, “Tjetër Vizion” in Elbasan, “Vatra Center” in Vlora and “Shkodra Children's Home” – have been supported with clothing, electronic devices, cosmetic products and other necessary materials to improve the conditions of care for women, children and young people in need.
This initiative is part of the policy of social use of confiscated assets, in line with European practices that aim to return illegally obtained assets to serve the community.
The Chief Administrator of AAPSK, Risena Xhaja, stated that social use turns confiscated property into value for society.
"This is one of the moments where justice and solidarity meet in practice. Confiscated assets, previously a symbol of illegality, are today becoming a means of support for people in need. This is the essence of social use – the return of illegal assets to public service and value for the community," said Xhaja.
Meanwhile, the Director of the State Social Service, Reme Xholi, emphasized that the cooperation model with AAPSK is being translated every day into more and more concrete assistance for citizens.
"This cooperation with AAPSK is a clear example of how institutions can combine resources and mission to truly help vulnerable categories. The donated materials will directly help our social centers in providing more dignified services to women, children and young people in need," - declared Xholi.
In addition, AAPSK has announced that it will expand cooperation with the network of social centers through joint projects with institutional and international partners, with the aim of turning any confiscated property into an asset for society.
