"700 Albanian families will be expelled from Britain" - Rama, harsh with Mahmood: Disappointing from a Labour member

British Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood's statement on the deportation of 700 Albanian families has disappointed Prime Minister Rama. He accuses the Labour minister of reproducing the rhetoric of the far-right populist.
“Quite disappointing to hear the UK Home Secretary,
Shabana Mahmood, mention “around 700 Albanian families” living in taxpayer-funded accommodation after their asylum claims were rejected, as justification for resuming family returns.
"How can a Labour Home Secretary so badly repeat the rhetoric of the far-right populist and single out 700 Albanian families, a statistical dot in the ocean of Britain's post-Brexit challenges, precisely at a moment when the United Kingdom and Albania have built one of the most successful partnerships in Europe on illegal migration," Rama wrote on social media.
Further, the head of government emphasizes that Albanians are contributors to the British economy.
"Let us also be clear: Albanians are net contributors to the British economy and the number of Albanians receiving social benefits in the UK is very low compared to other communities. To single them out consistently is not politics, but is a disturbing and inappropriate exercise in demagogy."
"Albania is, and intends to remain, one of the UK's most active allies in the wider control of migration in the Balkans. The UK should seek ways to deepen cooperation with Albania on all security issues from defence to border protection instead of constantly using Albanians as scapegoats," Rama continued in his reaction.
The Prime Minister concludes his response by saying that official policies should never be guided by ethnic stereotypes.
