15.5 billion lek investments for the maintenance of main road axes – ARRSH

The Albanian Road Authority announced today that it has begun work on the maintenance of some of the main road axes in the country.

According to the ARA, the maintenance of these axes will increase the safety of vehicle movement on the road.

More specifically:

· On the Tirana-Durrës highway, ARRSH announces that the action to clean the traffic dividers and the road from debris has begun.

· The road is being cleared of inert materials on the Fier bypass, while the shoulder is being scarified on the Levan-Vlora bypass.

· In Levan - Dames, the asphalt road is being repaired.

· On the Tirana - Elbasan, Elbasan - Rrogozhina axes, the protective embankments are being repaired.

· On the Lezhë-Shkodër – Hani i Hotit, Bunës Bridge – Muriqan axes, work is underway to repair damaged signage, clean ditches and canals.

· Meanwhile, in Pukë – Fushë-Arrëz – Kalimash, work is underway to clean up stones and inert materials.

The National Road Network consists of approximately 3600 km of roads, of which 1358 are primary roads and 2235 are secondary roads.

Maintenance aims to prevent road degradation, such as leveling, drainage, backfilling, asphalt-concrete overlays, etc.

For 2025, a fund of 18.53 billion lek has been planned from the state budget for road construction and improvement.
