10-month, agricultural exports increased by 19% - Minister Denaj: Objective, 1 billion dollars in 2030
Albanian agricultural exports have marked a significant increase during the first 10 months of 2024.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, announced that in the period January-October 2023, 325,695 tons of exports were recorded, while during the months of January-October 2024, 386,795 tons of exports were recorded, which shows a 19% increase in quantity compared to the same period a year ago.
In total exports, the ones that lead and have the highest demand from foreign consumers are fresh Albanian fruits and vegetables.
Meanwhile, the year 2023 ended with a total export figure of 55.7 billion ALL, marking an increase of 7.7% during 2023 compared to 2022.
The government's objective is to reach the level of 1 billion dollars in exports by 2030, through supportive policies for farmers in terms of production, quality and certification.
On the other hand, during the summer season, Albanian products occupy an important place in the domestic market, supplying not only domestic consumer demand but also foreign tourists, who when visiting Albania are more oriented towards local products.
