Kosovo, record in taxes - 813 million euros in tax revenue in 8 months, 14% more than a year ago

The Kosovo Tax Administration has collected 813 million euros in tax revenues during the first eight months of this year. Compared to the same period last year, collections have increased by about 100 million euros, or 14%.
According to the Kosovo Tax Administration, this increase indicates a strong positive trend in revenue collection and an improvement in the performance of the tax system.
The institution attributes the result not only to more efficient collection of obligations, but also to the expansion of the taxpayer base. More businesses and economic activities are being included in the formal system, contributing to the increase in collections.
In just one year, tax revenues have increased by nearly 100 million euros, a figure that, according to the Administration, indicates improved formalization and the inclusion of more economic activities in the fiscal system.
Growth is particularly important at a time when public revenue performance remains one of the main indicators of economic activity and the state's ability to finance public services and investments.
At the current rate of collection, Kosovo is close to surpassing the 1 billion euro tax revenue mark. The Tax Administration considers this an important achievement and further evidence of its increased performance.
If the growth rate is maintained during the remaining months of the year, exceeding this level would mark another record for revenues collected by the Kosovo tax administration.
