Investing 3.8 million euros in energy efficiency - Kosovo aims to reduce consumption, improve conditions in institutions

The Kosovo government is investing 3.8 million euros in the energy renovation of 13 public buildings in four municipalities of the country. The news was announced by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, during a visit to Viti, where energy efficiency measures were inaugurated at the “28 Nëntori” Primary and Lower Secondary School.
According to Kurti, around 118 thousand euros have been invested in the energy renovation of this school, with the aim of creating better conditions for students and teachers.
Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, said that the interventions have brought significant energy savings.
The investment in the school included thermal insulation of the external walls and roof, replacement of doors and windows, installation of a pellet heating system, and installation of LED lighting.
Rizvanolli called on municipalities to apply to the new call that is expected to be opened by the Energy Efficiency Fund in the coming months.
The Managing Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund, Njomza Hoxha, emphasized that the investments have not only reduced energy consumption, but also improved conditions for students and educational staff.
