What are the preliminary results of the elections in Kosovo?
The counting of votes for the parliamentary elections in Kosovo began immediately after the voting process closed. According to the data so far from the Central Election Commission of Kosovo, as of 20:56, about 23.7% of the votes have been counted.
But what is the ranking of the parties?
As of this percentage of the count, the Vetëvendosje Movement leads with 178,054 votes, or 55.77%. Second in the ranking according to the CEC is the Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, which has reached 81,077 votes or 25.4%.
To continue with the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK, with 28,718 votes, or about 9%. Fourth ranked so far is the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK, with currently about 15,964 votes, or 5%.
But referring to Exit Polls, the Vetëvendosje Movement results as the first force from 37% to 40.3%, while the PDK is the second force, from 22% to 23%. The LDK is the third party with around 20%, while the AAK-Nisma is up to 8%.
There are 28 political entities with 1,280 candidates, who are competing to secure seats in Kosovo's 120-seat parliament.
