According to data from the Central Bank of Greece, in the period January-July 2025, travel revenues increased by 12.5% ​​compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 12.182 billion euros. Germans spent the most on their holidays in Greece, followed by the English, although revenues from Britain are lower compared to last year. Meanwhile, tourists from the USA rank third.

In particular, revenues from German tourists increased by 16.6% to 2.03 billion euros. Revenues from the French increased by 15.6% to 769 million euros, from Italy by 4.9% to 632.8 million euros. Meanwhile, revenues from the United Kingdom fell by 2.9% to 1.631 billion euros and from the United States increased by 25.3% to 954 million euros.

During the 7-month period, the number of visitors entering Greece increased by 2.6% to 18.454 million. Specifically, passenger flows through airports increased by 4.7%, while those through road border crossings decreased by 2.8%. The number of passengers from European Union member states fell by 1.6% year-on-year to 10.648 million. Meanwhile, the number of passengers from other countries increased by 8.9% to 7.806 million.
