Notre Dame opens 5 years after the fire - President Macron visits the rebuilt cathedral
Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris will open its doors on December 7. It is considered one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture and the best Catholic church not only in France but also in the world.
Before the fire, it welcomed an average of twelve million visitors a year from around the world.
After a devastating fire in April 2019, Notre-Dame Cathedral was temporarily closed.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has visited this Cathedral, to show the world that it has been restored. The reopening will begin next Saturday.
About 840 million euros of donations have been received from all over the world for the renovation of the famous Cathedral. We remind you that the Albanian government donated 100,000 euros as a contribution to the reconstruction of the burnt cathedral.
