Artificial intelligence is changing offices/ From writing emails to making

The use of artificial intelligence in the workplace is evolving rapidly, moving beyond the automation of routine tasks to becoming an important tool for analysis and decision-making. The latest data shows that employees are increasingly using AI to evaluate information, analyze alternatives, and make faster, more informed decisions.

This development challenges early predictions about the impact of artificial intelligence on the job market. Initially, the focus was on automating repetitive tasks such as document processing, data organization, or administrative work. However, in practice, the technology is increasingly being used for activities that require structured thinking and in-depth analysis.

According to data from Visual Capitalist, decision-making now represents a larger portion of AI use in the workplace than several traditional office tasks combined, including documentation, planning, and administrative processes.

Meanwhile, activities related to communication and human relationships remain less affected by artificial intelligence. Peer counseling, conflict resolution, staff training, or public engagement still only make up a small portion of the technology's overall use. This suggests that AI performs better in tasks that require logical analysis and structured processes, while aspects that depend on emotional intelligence and human interaction remain largely in the hands of humans.

However, traditional productivity tasks continue to hold significant weight. Documentation represents about 12% of workplace AI activity, while information search and retrieval accounts for 13% of total usage. This reflects the increasing integration of AI tools into everyday work processes, from meeting summarization and report writing to information retrieval and knowledge organization within companies.

Experts estimate that the role of AI is changing from a content creation tool to a decision-support partner. If this trend continues, the workplace of the future may not be characterized by the complete replacement of employees, but by close collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence to improve the analysis, productivity and quality of everyday decisions.
