"Peace Board", with official website - 28 member states are published, including Albania and Kosovo
The “Peace Board” has launched its official website just a few days after its inauguration on February 19. The website displays the flags of the 28 founding countries, including Albania and Kosovo. It also features photos of the leaders of the founding countries, with Prime Minister Edi Rama, in alphabetical order, immediately following US President Donald Trump.
The Board's Charter lists its fundamental principles:
Declaring that sustainable peace requires pragmatic judgment, sound solutions, and the courage to move away from approaches and institutions that have too often failed;
Recognizing that sustainable peace takes root when people are empowered to take ownership and responsibility for their future;
Affirming that only sustainable, results-oriented partnership, based on shared burdens and commitments, can ensure peace in places where it has proven impossible for too long;
Saddened that many approaches to peacebuilding foster permanent dependency and institutionalize crisis rather than moving people beyond it;
Stressing the need for a more rapid and effective international peacebuilding body; and
Having resolved to assemble a coalition of willing states committed to practical cooperation and effective action,
Guided by judgment and honoring justice, the parties adopt the Charter of the Peace Board.
Also, the Peace Plan for Gaza has been published on the page, listing the countries that will contribute financially, while Albania and Kosovo are among the countries that will send troops to the International Stabilization Force.
