Flying car "touches" the skies of Dubai - Chinese company introduces

A flying car developed by Chinese company ARIDGE has been unveiled for the first time in Dubai, marking a bold step towards a new era of transportation.

The vehicle, called the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” consists of a ground vehicle, known as the “mothership,” and a detachable air module. This module can be easily placed inside the vehicle, automatically appears at the push of a button, and can fly autonomously or manually, without requiring much technical experience.

Its developer, ARIDGE, is taking intelligent mobility to a new level with this revolutionary vehicle, which is expected to change the way people travel. “This is a historic moment for our company. We have officially introduced our product outside of China. It is also the first pilot demonstration abroad in this area, which shows the incredible potential of this vehicle,” said ARIDGE CFO and Vice President Michael Du.

The Land Aircraft Carrier is the world's first mass-produced flying vehicle, and a testament to China's innovation in building safe and intelligent products. When asked why the company chose Dubai for the launch, Du highlighted the UAE's openness to new technologies.

“The Emirates and the Gulf region have embraced advanced technologies over the past decades, especially in the field of advanced air mobility. This mentality is very important for the success of the product. In addition, Dubai offers the ideal environment, with suitable infrastructure, practical use scenarios and a large customer base with high economic opportunities,” he said.

Michael Du also pointed out the advantages that China has in the new low-altitude flight economy. “First, the government’s determination to coordinate regulatory and product development is a key factor. Second, since electric VTOLs are inherently electric, Beijing has a huge advantage,” he added.

ARIDGE predicts that the global passenger market for electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft will reach a value of US$225 billion by 2040.
