Fewer Poles, but those who come spend more nights/ Poland, a stable market for tourist accommodations in Albania

Even this year, the chances of encountering a Pole on the street on one of the days of the year are high, even though the number of entries from this country has decreased. In total, in ten months, about 279 thousand Poles have entered the territory of our country. But what is noticeable from the INSTAT data? Inbound tourism in Albania during 2025 is showing a clear trend towards increasing quality and longer stays in accommodation structures. Within this trend, Poland appears as one of the main markets for inbound tourism.
Despite the 8.9% annual decline in Polish arrivals during the January-October period, Poland results as a stable market for tourist accommodations in Albania during 2025.
Monthly accommodation data shows that this country has repeatedly been among the main destinations of origin of non-resident visitors. In April 2025, Polish tourists ranked in the “Top 5” with 7% of the total, alongside Italy, Kosovo, Germany and the United Kingdom.
This trend continues in the high season. Poland represents 11% of accommodated visitors in July, 12% in August, and 11% in September, confirming it as one of the most important European markets for Albanian tourism, although total arrivals have declined.
The contrast between the decline in arrivals and the high weight in accommodations suggests that Polish tourists choosing Albania are staying longer, traveling in off-season periods, or appearing at more consistent rates compared to other markets.
On the other hand, experts emphasize that in recent years Poles have been investing more and more in property in our country.
