Tourist packages in August increased in price by 12.8%/ Albania, with the smallest price increase. The region sets records

A significant portion of individuals choose to vacation by taking advantage of organized tourist vacations through packages, the prices of which vary depending on the season, destination and current offers. The summer season, especially August, remains the busiest period and with higher prices, reflecting the increased demand of citizens to travel and vacation.
In August 2025, the price of package holidays in European Union countries increased by an average of 2.5% compared to the same month in 2024. This increase is more moderate compared to previous months of the year, as since May 2025 the price trend has been more stable.
The situation is different in Albania, where the inflation of tourist packages during August marked a significant increase of 12.8%. This indicates not only the increase in the costs of tourist services, but also the high demand for holidays during this peak season. However, compared to other countries in the region, Albania does not top the list for high price increases.
Kosovo recorded the highest increase in tourist packages, at 17.1%, followed by Serbia at 15.3% and Montenegro with a more moderate increase of 14.1%. Meanwhile, North Macedonia has the lowest inflation in this sector, at only 2.3%.
At the European level, the strongest increase in package holiday prices in August 2025 was observed in Estonia, where they rose by a full 39.5% compared to August last year. Bulgaria followed with a significant increase of 23%, while Denmark recorded a more moderate increase of 12%. In contrast, several EU countries recorded price decreases, such as Belgium with -7%, Sweden with -5.6% and Spain with a slight decrease of -0.1%.
