Main roads in Shëngjin, towards reconstruction - Lezha Municipality opens competition for study-design

The Municipality of Lezha has announced the opening of the competition for the study-design for the requalification of the white water and storm water network, as well as the sidewalks in Shëngjin.
According to the document in the Public Procurement Agency, several roads in urban areas that are damaged as a result of the normal malfunction of the white water drainage network will be reconstructed. Through this investment, the road infrastructure will be improved in the service of residents in the administrative unit of Shëngjin and beyond, as this area is the most important point of the tourism economy of the Municipality of Lezha.
Currently, the existing white water network is damaged, but all these waters, depending on the terrain, will be disciplined with canals, pipes and wells. Meanwhile, the total cost of this investment is 257 million and 962 thousand lekë
One of the main segments where intervention will be made is the "Willson" road, which is a road segment used by vehicles and residents and is very busy, especially during the tourist season. In cases of atmospheric precipitation, this road floods and becomes impassable for residents, creating difficulties in the circulation of cars. Under these conditions, the road is in a condition that needs to be treated, to make it easier for vehicles and residents to pass. Meanwhile, the estimated value for this segment is 18 million and 258 thousand lekë.
Another segment where intervention is planned is the Kuna “Fran Ivanaj” road, from Lapidari to the Durakët residence. This section of the road has a length of 3 km. Meanwhile, it is a road that is constantly problematic in case of rainfall, at the same time the asphalt layers are quite worn out. In some places this road has also suffered from subsidence due to poor compaction of the road layers. Therefore, on this road axis, intervention will be made in the discipline of the white water drainage network and subsequently also of the road layers. The investment cost for this road axis reaches 172 million and 286 thousand lekë.
The intervention will also extend to the “Mother Teresa” road segment, from Lapidari to the Church of Shëngjin. In case of rainfall, this road segment floods, preventing the normal circulation of vehicles and residents, as the white water drainage system does not function properly. It is also predicted that for this road segment, the estimated cost is 67 million and 418 thousand lekë.
With the realization of this investment, the quality of infrastructure in an area visited by tourists will increase, guaranteeing better conditions for the residents and visitors of Shëngjin.
