Vlora-Orikum road, additional to the expropriation fund - Government adds 37 million lek, total fund 239.5 million lek
The government has approved several changes and additions for the expropriation of real estate owners, private property affected by the implementation of the reconstruction project of the existing Vlora-Orikum road and two by-passes in Radhima, Vlora.
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, the fund for the expropriation of owners increases from 202.6 million lek to 239.5 million lek, an increase of about 37 million lek.
Also, the Municipality of Vlora will cover additional procedural costs of 50,000 lek.
The Vlora - Orikum axis is one of the road segments with heavy traffic during the summer months. The length of this axis is 10.6 km and starts from the tunnel in Uji i Ftohtë, to the Yacht Port, located in Orikum. Meanwhile, the tender was conducted by the EBRD, since this bank has granted a loan for this project.
The reconstruction of the Vlora-Orikum road is an important infrastructure project in the south of the country, aiming to improve traffic and increase access to the coastal areas of Vlora.
