Arbri Street, free of charge - Edi Rama's promise: As long as I am prime

All drivers who will pass through the Arbri road after the opening of the Murriz tunnel will not pay a single lek. The promise was made by Prime Minister Edi Rama, as this road is being built with the money of a private company and not taxpayers.

That Arbri road where the Murriz tunnel will finally open, oh God, God willing, we don't have any other surprises with that tunnel because all the evil eye has gathered there. All the evil eye has gathered there. On March 14, the plan is to open it, it is a purely Albanian road, with Albanian money and not tax money, but a company's. That is the PPP, so that is the PPP and someone asked how much we will pay for that road? You will not pay anything, you sir. Zero. There will be no toll on that road, at least as long as I am here, the Arbri road will not have tolls and the day will come, a day when all roads will be tolled like the rest of the world has them, this is not discussed, but not the Arbri road as long as I am here at least. It will be free, but it is PPP.

The Murriz Tunnel, which is part of the Arbri Road, will open to drivers on the summer day, March 14. The Murriz Tunnel, with a length of about 3.8 km, consists of two tubes, one for traffic and one for emergency. The tunnel will shorten the distance between Dibra and Tirana to just 2 hours.

Works on this tunnel, which is part of the Arbri Road, have been slow due to difficult geology and landslides.

Meanwhile, the Arbri road, with a length of about 74 km, has cost the state budget 33.6 billion lek and will be an important East-West connecting corridor.
