Passenger traffic at Tirana Airport increases, almost 1 million in June - TIA: Milan, London, Rome are the favorite destinations
Tirana International Airport continues to record an increase in the number of passengers and air destinations.
During the month of June 2025 alone, 6,170 flights to 84 destinations in 24 countries were operated at this airport and 999,688 passengers were welcomed during the month of June 2025.
This data reflects the expansion of the air network connecting Albania with the rest of Europe and beyond, providing more travel alternatives to both domestic and foreign passengers.
This month also marked the return of several favorite destinations. According to data from Tirana International Airport, the top 5 most sought-after destinations remain: Milan, London, Rome, Bologna and Venice.
Meanwhile, the increase in passenger flow is also confirmed by official data from INSTAT, where in the first quarter of 2025, 2 million passengers traveled by airline, thus marking an increase of 9.1% compared to the same period last year.
On the other hand, in air transport during the first quarter of 2025, 19 airlines operated, of which 18 were foreign and 1 was Albanian. 65,146 aircraft flew in Albanian airspace, of which 79.5% were overflights. These figures demonstrate the increase in demand for travel.
