Online applications for Albanian passports increase - 9.2% in total in 2025 via e-Albania
Applying for a passport and identity card is now possible online through e-Albania, even for Albanians residing abroad.
According to figures published by e-Albania, since 2016, 742,969 online applications have been processed. From January to August 2025, 53,408 applications were processed, or 9.2% more than the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, for the period January to August 2024, 48,887 applications are processed.,
During the application, citizens choose the date and time of the meeting at the Embassy or Consulate in the country where they live.
