About 190 mln euro profit from salaries abroad - Albanian immigrants registered a record income in July-September
Albanians who emigrated abroad earned around 190 million euros from their salaries during the third quarter of this year. This is the highest level of income ever recorded.
According to the data published by the Bank of Albania, compared to the same period last year, the income from salaries of Albanian immigrants has undergone a significant increase of about 26 million euros.
This increase is related to the fact of mass emigration and the high demands for work in European countries and beyond. In total, during the first 9 months of the year, Albanians living and working abroad, through their salaries, have secured around 488.6 million euros.
On the other hand, if we also take into account the investments that these individuals have made abroad, the total income during the third quarter reaches up to 264 million euros.
This financial flow also shows an increase in their investments abroad. In this way, the total income for the period July-September 2024 has increased by about 50 million euros, emphasizing the continuous growth and the positive impact of immigrants in the economy of Albania.
