Rama on the project in Zvërnec: The investment will be realized, it is a blessing for the Albanian economy
Prime Minister Edi Rama has defended the strategic investment project in the Zvërnec area, stating that it will move forward and that it represents an important development opportunity for Vlora and the Albanian economy.
Speaking about the meeting held with the residents of the area, Rama said that the concerns raised by them are related to specific issues of ownership and procedures, but not to opposition to the investment itself.
"What I heard from them was not a surprise. At no point did I hear the very idea that this investment should be stopped being discussed. On the contrary, I felt concern that this opportunity would not be lost," he said.
The Prime Minister also accused critics of the project of using the issue for various political, economic or ideological interests, while arguing that the investment is being developed with the assistance of some of the most renowned international experts in architecture, urban planning and the environment.
"The project will be done, to be very clear. It is a great good for our economy, a blessing for Vlora and an epochal breakthrough for Albania's tourism," Rama declared.
According to him, the investment is expected to significantly increase Albania's international profile as a tourist destination and attract significant foreign capital to the tourism sector.
