Social policies, here is the 'socialist offer' for salaries and pensions - Doubling the minimum pension to 200 euros, average salary 1000 euros
The socialists' economic offer is based on a significant increase in wages and pensions. In their program platform 'Albania 2030', the socialists promise that by the end of their fourth term, Albania will have a minimum pension of 200 euros, twice what it is today. The minimum pension is considered the social pension that all citizens who reach the age of 70 and have not completed 15 years of work receive. With the new reform of the pension scheme, the socialists aim to significantly increase the average pension, which is currently calculated at 175 euros.
With the ambition for sustainable economic growth of approximately 4% during this 5-year period, with expectations for an influx of tourists and investments, the Socialist Party in its program promises an average salary of 1,000 euros in 2030, up from 850 euros currently. Meanwhile, the average salary in the public sector will increase from 1,000 euros today to 1,300 euros in 2030.
In parallel with the increase in the average wage, the aim is to reduce unemployment in the country by 2.8%. From the 8.8% that ended in 2024, the Socialists in their program expect unemployment to decrease to 6%.
