Mountains Package, Rama: Development and more investments/ "It is not for the oligarchs, but for the heirs of the properties"
Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a conversation with residents and entrepreneurs in Theth, where the focus was on the presentation of the “Mountain Package”, said that the aim of this initiative is development and increased investment. He called on all heirs of properties that are outside the legislation of land division according to law 7501, to be informed about the contents of the package. The Prime Minister explained that the “Mountain Package” was not designed for land grabbers, businessmen or oligarchs, but for families who have inherited properties in mountainous areas where land has not been divided according to law 7501.
" No one can say that you brought people from the city, or from Tirana, those who participate, because you are all residents, you are entrepreneurs who are active or you are entrepreneurs who want to open an activity. We are here because Thethi has been one of the reasons for the Mountain Package and is the most exemplary reflection of the potential, the ability to succeed and the problems that need to be addressed. What must be said from the beginning is that there is a very big misunderstanding about the Mountain Package. We saw fit to come here. All those who have inherited property and who are outside the perimeter of the existing legislation of 7501, listen and understand what it is about and do not fall prey to nonsense. "- said Rama.
The head of government recalled the demolition of dozens of illegal buildings in the tourist village of Shkodra last summer. He said that illegal construction exploded after residents misunderstood his promise to legalize existing buildings in Theth.
" I didn't come here and say: go ahead and build because we're legalizing them. Because I had no way of saying that I would be violating the law. I came here and said that we will legalize these existing ones. We will legalize them starting from the old buildings. Even those who inherited towers in an area like this didn't have papers. No one mortgaged the tower because they said it was in a protected area, and since it was in a protected area, keep the tower, no one comes to demolish it, but it doesn't become your property. Then the reality created by those who built later without permission in the conditions when there was nothing here. Those that exist will be legalized. What happened was that after my visit, illegal construction exploded there, since we are legalizing it, they said, come on, we're moving in. The world postcard of Theth was hit. If you go and write Theth in all the languages of the world, it's the church with the green lawn. The green lawn was occupied, houses were built wood, surrounded, covered with gravel and turned into a wound right in the middle of Theth?" Rama added.
Rama stated that the Mountain Package aims to set in motion the economy and development of mountainous areas.
