In three months, 223 complaints about tenders - The state budget benefited from 13.4 million lek from financial fees
In the first three months of this year, 223 complaints from economic operators were addressed to the Public Procurement Commission. Meanwhile, in March, 81 such complaints were calculated, which shows an increase compared to the other two months. However, compared to the first three months of last year, this year has marked an increase, with 34 more complaints.
But what did economic operators complain about the most in March?
Calculating the complaints, according to the phase of the process for which the complaint was filed, 52 complaints are for bid evaluation, 28 for Standard Tender Documents, and 1 for others.
On the other hand, categorizing them by type of contract, 40 are for goods, 28 for services and 13 are for public works. Meanwhile, local government continues to lead with the highest number of complaints, with 34 of them, 19 complaints were filed by joint-stock companies, while the central and independent governments have 14 complaints respectively.
In three months, approximately 13.4 million lek in financial fees have been calculated to be paid to the State Budget at the conclusion of the review of procurement procedures.
However, in March, around 18 million lek were financial fees collected as guarantees for procurement procedures, while financial fees returned to economic operators at the end of the review of procurement procedures were 10.8 million lek.
